A little bit about me...

Hi, my name’s Rob (mug shot pending). Although I have been in the woodworking world for many years, mainly making and selling garden planters and furniture from reclaimed materials, the Newfound Designs brand itself is relatively new. I have just created this website and an Instagram page (link at the top of the page), as my range has slowly branched out into interior furnishings. With repeat customers often coming back, I never really know what I will be making next!

Where it all began

Growing up in rural Somerset, I have always had a love for nature and the countryside. I spent much of my childhood walking my Jack Russell dog, Sam, on the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. I often picked up litter on these walks, with the thought of always trying to give back to nature—something I still do to this day. When I make things from reclaimed materials, I have that same feeling of giving back, along with the love of creativity that comes with it.
